Programs

Marshall's ATA offers several programs for children and adults.  We have several programs for a variety of purposes, ranging from basic martial arts, to self defense, to esteem and life skills building and more.

Songahm Taekwondo itself is always evolving, and as such we will always develop new programs and update our existing programs to ensure our students have as much access to the different aspects of Songahm Taekwondo as possible.

Tiny Tigers (ages 4 - 6)

This class is a definite "must watch". Four to six year olds standing still, listening, and following directions while having fun? YES! It is possible. With this age group it is our goal to teach them the basics in Taekwondo while they are learning to "watch the teacher, be still, and follow directions".

Come by and see how much fun they are having in this structured environment.

Juniors (ages 7 - 12)

These boys and girls can go! The one value that is stressed with these karate kids is effort. They are taught if they put effort in whatever they do, they can achieve their goals. Without goals, kids will often float from one sport or activity to another often feeling like they have failed. From the first day in our program they are taught to see a goal and to achieve it. Some are short team while others are long term and like anything worthwhile, like a Black Belt or a college degree it takes effort and perseverance.

If self control, courtesy and respect are values you would like to see reinforced, come by and check out our program.

Teens/Adults (ages 13 and up)

You've thought about it long enough! Most adults in our program have been wanting to take lessons for a long time. Whether you want a truly fun way to stay in shape or you are more interested in progressing up the belt ladder, our program is for you! Adults are surprised at how non-intimidating our program is and wish they would have started sooner!

ATA's exclusive 'Agent G Bullying Prevention Program'

Bullying is one of the troubling issues plaguing schools today. Research has shown that left unchecked, bullying leads to bigger problems, including emotional distress, decreased academic performance, delinquency, depression and even thoughts of suicide. It is destructive for the kids being bullied, the kids doing the bullying, and even kids who witness the bullying. In order to help combat this growing problem, the ATA has teamed up with Olweus to create the most comprehensive bullying prevention program available anywhere: Agent G - The ATA Defender.

Children will learn valuable skills on how to recognize and react to bullying in this engaging and interactive seminar. The key takeaways we focus on are developing appropriate responses to difficult situations, confidence building and leadership skills. Bullying is one of the troubling issues plaguing schools today.
